My Sweet17 Birthday Dinner

My 17th birthday was on July 30th, but since it was during Eid holiday, I celebrated it on August 9th.
I honestly didn't prepare much about this birthday dinner. I didn't even decide about an exact theme for my birthday, so I just made it to match my dress' color, which was in Pink!
The pink's shade was hot pink. I like it more than baby pink because it shows femininity yet it's not as girly as baby pink. It also symbolizes a 'growth' of pink. I was once 'a baby pink', then on my 17th birthday I turned to be a 'maturer (hot) pink' ;p

From the first, I decided to celebrate my birthday with just a dinner and some simple funny games with my close friends, family, and relatives. I didn't want to make a too big party simply because I wanted it to make more meaningful with the people I feel comfortable with. I also didn't want to throw too much money only within a night too! Hehehe. But that doesn't mean I hate big parties, I enjoy those too but not for my own party ;D.

For those who asked, my dress is from Peggy Hartanto (I bought it at Galleries Lafayette, Pacific Place), my heels are from Aldo, and my headpiece is from @petitebellebow . I did the make up by myself (I didn't find any make up artist in my city that suits my preference, so I chose to do it myself :D), hair by a local salon in my city. Anndd fyi, for a clarification, my dress is not bolong (perforated?) ! There's a sheer fabric in NUDE colour. I laughed so hard when anons on my ask.fm thought so... lol *insert laugh-cry emoji here*

I made those heart-shaped cut outs together with my mom and my dad a few days before the d-day :'>. I didn't use EO by the way. It's just a simple party which didn't need help from eo at all.

My juniors at school who are also my close friends helped me to become the guest receptionists . Their dresscode was floral! So pretty!

Turning Seventeen

Yesterday, (July 30th) I finally turned 17! I felt excited because being 17 means I have to be more mature and of course to be a better person.

This was my first birthday that fell during the holiday , so I wasn't able to spend it with my friends. Last night I had a family dinner (minus my sis who didn't go to Jakarta this holiday) at Table8, Mulia Hotel. Chinese food is our family's favorite , so the restaurant was perfect for our tastebuds ! Thanks a bunch to my dad who's the sponsor of the day ! ;p

I wish for a better luck for years ahead, a better personality of me, a better work and spirit , and of course a satisfying mark for my upcoming national exam. I always want to be a good daughter that my parents can be proud of :D.

Yep! I had my 15th birthday yesterday (30 July 2012) . I celebrated it with my close friends. Too bad my besties who study in another cities couldn't come ;(. But yesterday was awesome though. In the morning I was fooled by my friends. They didn't even say happy birthday to me and ignored me. I nearly cried and then my friends couldn't stand seeing my sad face and ended the prank. :p

This year I asked my mom not to buy cake for me because I'm not a big fan of sweet cakes and whipped cream. Then my mom bought "Nasi Tumpeng" for me. It's a traditional birthday "cake" in Indonesia. It's very very veryyy delicious!! :D

I got a birthday cake from my best friends too! There's a small incident about this birthday cake. When one of my friend who brought this cake came into the reserved room, I didn't realize it was a cake because it's still inside the box + plastic and my friends don't do any surprising thing. When we were going to go home, I saw a cake inside that box and shocked and then asked my friends "OMG! Is this a cake??? Why u didn't tell me anything when u came??". My friend : "I told you but maybe you didn't hear me". LOL. At the end we opened the cake box, and I blew the candles in front of the restaurant =____=. That's reallyyy the funniest 'scene' ever!! xD.

Thank you so much God for letting me live until me now. I feel so lucky and blessed. I have amazing parents, siblings, and friends. Thank youuu so much for my parents who've been loving and raising me since I was born. I'm such a selfish and immature person who don't deserve to have awesome family, friends, and readers like you all but I promise I will keep improving myself to be a better person. I LOVE YOU ALLL <3 <3
