Going Brown

Hi, everyone! 2014 is only 4 days away.. and I'm going to Bali with my friends the day after tomorrow. Yayy~! I hope the trip will be fun and smooth, the weather will be nice, and everyone will be safe.

This trip is arranged by us (10 people) and we're not going with our parents, which is our very first experience! :D. It was just a silly idea at first when I and my friends were just chatting during the empty hours at school last October.
The boys said they wanted to go to Singapore together this holiday without the parents. Then, me who sat in front of them 'overheard' their conversation and I told them that going to Singapore without your parents won't be 'that' fun since we usually do a lot of shopping in Singapore, but without our parents our 'financial' things won't be easy. ahahha. We'd just likely spend 2 nights there and went to Universal Studio / MBS (although we won't buy anything at MBS) .
Soo.. I suggested to go to Bali instead.. Because in my opinion Bali will be much interesting. Not only the attractions we can play at the beaches / cruises, but Bali got  so many amazing beach clubs lately and maaany yummy restaurants. >w<
Usually.. When we planned an 'independent (without parents)' trip like this, it never came true. The problems would start from our parents' permission, the costs, etc. But this time, it's like a miracle because all of our parents gave us the permission! And after that we started to book the plane tickets, hotels, tour packages, etc.. Heheheh yaayyy!! Wish us luck ^^

I wore this outfit a few days ago before I had a hairperm.. Yes, I got a hairperm because I always wanted to have some volume on my too sleek hair. I'm so jealous with girls with naturally wavy and bouncy hair T.T. I also saw Yoona's hair on Prime Minister & I, and wanted my hair to look like that.
Sadly, on the first day after I got my hair permed, my hair became super curlyyyy like Merida's hair on Brave -_-. The salon used a small roller on my hair and when I asked them to use a bigger one so the wave would be bigger too, they said it's not good because it'd fade so easily compared to the price I paid.
So, on the next day I went to the salon again to wash & straight-blow my hair, to make it more loose.

This is the 'loose' version after I went to the salon again . But after I washed my hair again last night, my hair became curly again although it's not as curly as the first day haha. *forgive my impatience*
Grabbed from my instagram: @verenleecious. I had a yummy lunch at Born Ga 2 days ago.

I wore this outfit twice with some changes.. hehe. I love this coat so much and wanted to wear this again, so I 're-created' the outfit ^o^. This coat is not too thick and perfect for this rainy weather. Although the weather in Indonesia is still hot compared to the rain, but it's not a big deal since we hang out at malls more often and there are AC all over the mallssss.. heheheh ;p

Here are some of my favorite products from Cloth Inc.
Their collections are very stylish and up-to-date, in good quality, and affordable price too. It's totally perfect for you who want to be stylish but don't want to spend too much money.

Cloth Inc Lookbook

One thing that I really like from Cloth Inc is that they're not overpriced.
There are so many local brands in Indonesia with good designs, but sometimes the price is waay to overpriced. I'm fine if their clothes' quality is also good, but there are some brands that don't have a nice sewing quality, and back then I ever found a local DESIGNER brand, who used a cheap fabric (I found the same fabric that she used in a local store, and the price for 1meter was only IDR 32.000) and she sold the dress (which the design was also so 'common') for almost 1 millon =_=

Soo yeah... Cloth Inc has always been one of my recommended online stores. They manufactured their products by themselves too. So, we don't need to worry about their quality ;)

Cat and Cup

I'm in Jakarta right now.. spending Christmas with my brother, then go to Bali with my friends on 30th! :)

Sweater Weather

The weather has always been cloudy, rainy, and windy these days. Although Indonesia doesn't have winter season, at least I can snuggle in my favorite sweaters at these kinds of weather (rainy season).

I wore this outfit yesterday to the salon. I had a full body spa treatment, which was the first time ever after 3 years, I suppose ?
I don't really like going to a salon because I hate waiting, the noisy sound of hairdryer, or even the smell of chemical stuffs in hairdye/stuffs like that in the salon, and I've always preferred watching korean dramas / dating with my macbook over creambath during my leisure time. hahaha >.<.

Butt yesterday I really needed to go because my skin got sooo tan after the classmeeting, and I couldn't do body-scrubbing by myself (which I usually do at home rather than going to a salon) due to my palm injury (the skin on my palm was peeled off bcs of tug of war) T^T. The 3 hours of massage, scrubbing, bubble bath, steaming, etc. was so good I felt like I'd just reborned . hahahh xD.

50 Layers of Floral

I did this little photoshoot by myself (tripod+selftimer) last Wednesday. I took around more than 70 photos but I'm not going to use most of it because... at the first half of this session, I didn't curl my hair and my hair didn't look good.. So I decided to 'pause' my mini photo session, curled my hair (loosely), then took some photos again. Hahahah ;P

I lovee this tulle skirt that I received from Vogue Couture Shop. It's totally pretty and there are still a lot of outfit ideas in my mind about how to mix and match this skirt with other stuffs.. Hehehe... But this time I decided to pair it with light blue denim, florals, and pink. Blue and Pink are definitely my favorite colors :)

By the way, actually I wanted to do this photoshoot outside, I wished I'd climb up a tree and sat on it. But there's no one who had time to take me photos of me at that time and a great photoshoot spot that fits this theme's located farrrrr from my house. But then, my mom gave me the idea to take photos using this 'ladder'. Hahahah. I hope you don't find this weird ;p (well, it's not a magazine shoot/ serious shoot... so don't take this seriously. i just wanna have some funn.. hehehe ^^)

Before holiday starts, there's still a week of school. But it's gonna be fun because there's a classmeeting at school! The competitions are tug of war, smapiball (our school's very own version of softball+baseball), badminton, etc. And on the first day of classmeeting we'll ride bike together too around the city before the competitions start, hehehe~~..

Have a nice weekend everyone!! :)

8 days of sleepless nights (a.k.a final exam) has ended and thankfully I've passed all the subjects announced. I'm so relieved and happy because I can wake up late and sleep as looongg as I want. >o<.

This morning I woke up quite early to take some outfit photos because this blog has been so quiet lately and I just miss taking photos (or we can call it 'being photographed by myself (mr.tripod+self timer) so much!! When I woke up it was cloudy and rained a lil bit.. but thankkkfullyyy the rain stopped and it was sunny again!

Christmas is just 2 weeks away and I can't help but to dress up with these xmas colors. I clashed the red daisy print sweater with the green jacquard floral print skirt altogether. Clashing patterns has always been fun and we should never be scared with what others will think.. Because it's better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring! hehehee ;)

Super cute "Little Red Riding Hood' illustrated necklace c/o @youniq_

See you later and have a nice week, everyone!! :)

Oopsy Daisy

Soo... I got a good news to announce!
on Friday & Saturday, I joined "Lomba Siswa Berprestasi Tk. Kota Tegal 2013" (in english it can be easily translated as 'Best Student' competition). The preparation was so short .
My teacher told me this comp. on Wednesday. So I only have Thursday to prepare all of it. I only had 5 hours of sleep for 2 days.. But when I knew I got the 2nd place, I felt grateful and it's worth all the hardwork! Thank you so much God, Mama&Papa, and my friends who supported me :'>. (fyi: this competition requires the participants to do an academic test (math, english, bahasa, general knowledge), make a handicraft & present it to the judges (made a cardboard lamp for 6 hours straight T.T) , do 1 speech in Bahasa, 1 speech in English, master some basic skills in Ms.Excel, and have a personality test with the judges :> )

I really feel happy to be able to make my family (esp. my mom and dad) and school proud! :D
And lastly, I'd like to announce:

A new day is always a surprise for me. I never know what's going to happen whether it's good or bad.

As some of you already know, I have an account. I feel happy using as a good way to communicate myself with my readers who are curious about me, because it's so much easier than asking me stuffs by e-mail or line (which I find a bit rude if some people contact me directly via line w/out asking me first since my line account is private to my close relatives only)  .

Yesterday, I received a very jealous comment on my . Basically, she said that
1. I pretend to be rich by making a fashion blog and showing off my stuffs on my blog
2. I'm not pretty, but fashionable (wow, thanks)
3. I was fat and tan
4. My stuffs are fake, and she said I even put the 'original' link of the fake stuffs on this blog
5. I'm disgusting to her.

Well, this is not my first time getting such a hateful comment from such a fugly person. Usually I don't respond to something like this, but this time I just feel like 'clarifying' those accusations from her.

1. I never mean to show off about what I have on my blog, because what I upload on this blog are what actually happen in my life. My daily outfits, my activities at school, my activities with my family/friends. I suppose, the things I've mentioned just now are what a blog consists of. If she means I show off by naming the brands I'm wearing, she's just so stupid. I write the brands I'm wearing as an information to my readers where they come from, in case they want to have the same thing as mine. If I don't write them, am I supposed to answer every question?

Simple. If you feel like I'm showing off and you don't like it, then there's no need for you to pay attention to my life. Your life will simply get easier..

2. I'll take that as a compliment, because I don't think I'm that pretty myself. I have many flaws. At least, although I'm not pretty, I like to prettify myself by being fashionable, because I don't want to get uglier. If I have energy to make myself pretty, why do I have to stay still and mourn on my ugliness?

3. Yes, it's true I was fat (i'm still fat now, but was much fatter back then . hahaha), but not tan though. I thought I'm so much tanner now than before?
FYI,  I never feel ashamed to the fact that I was fat back then, but I feel proud instead because I've succeed to lost some weight by myself. I didn't even take any diet pills at that time, but I reduced my eating portion, I did lotsss of skipping every time I got free time after school.

Aaanndd I didn't get it why she said "you were fat and tan, right??" because that actually doesn't matter to anything. I was fat then, but not that fat now. So what? What's the deal with her? I think she's just jealous because I look so much better than before (exceeded her expectation), huh? hahaha

4. Fake stuffs? Here's another accusation from her which is so full of her jealousy on me.
I admit that most of my clothes on this blog are from my parents' money (I'm 16 and unemployed) and my sponsors. But these days many clothes of mine are also from my own money because I already have my own incomes from advertisers on my blog and from the competitions I won!
For some branded designer stuffs they can be.... ; my parents bought them for me, some of them are half my money and half my parents', and also my mom/my sister's bag that I borrow for some time.

*Appearently there's someone who said that I shoudn't make a blog to brag because my clothes are from my parent's money and sponsors...

I think getting sponsors are one of my achievements from my 4years of blogging. I spend more than a half of my leisure time by blogging when some girls at my age don't . It's NOT as easy as what many people think. You can ask the other bloggers about this.

It's also not only me who get many clothes from sponsors. There are like so many bloggers who have mucchhhh more sponsors than me, and get muchhh more extravagant and expensive stuffs from their sponsors. they even get FREE overseas trips, (including hotel, plane ticket) free gadgets, branded stuffs, etc. (have you read Chiara F (flying everywhere all over the world to attend events) kryzzie uy/ Aimee Song/ Willabelle Ong/ Bon Qiuqiu (free plastic surgery at S.korea) , Xiaxue's blog (sponsored wedding, home furnitures) ??)
You think that as bragging too because those are not their own money??? Yes. >>>Sponsored stuffs are not our own money but they are the FRUITS of our hardworks managing our blogs.<<<
5. I'm disgusting to her (you)? Then if you're reading this, you're so much more disgusting to me too!

Hmmm... whoever she is, I'm quite sure she knows me since I was in elementary school because she knew that i was fat (haha). But maybe it has been a long time since the last time she saw me, so she was shocked to discover my blog and my different appearance, and her heart is burning with jealousy when she looks at my blog!

And then.. what always comes up to my mind is, if you're jealous with someone because she/he has better things than you, you shouldn't just sit down and hate on him/her. Although we start from the different 'start' line, if you're still at the bottom, you should try to climb and get the same thing by your own.
Of course, there's always a limit we can't pass. But at least, be happy and grateful first with what you already have, and try to get what you want little by little... God gives us energy, health, and talents. What are those things for? Of course He wants us to use what He already gave as good as possible!

Ok. Enough with those stuffs.. hahaha. Now back to the real events that I've been through these days,

I'm sorry for not being able to update this blog for a while because last weekend I was busy with a big event at my school.

Osis (the student council) held an expo & competition event which consists of
(1) an edu fair of universities (this edufair committee, *consists of me, one of my seniors, and 2 other members* successfully invited 24 universities (private) to our school ranging from President University, UPH, Untar, Trisakti, Prasetya Mulya, Ciputra, Atmajaya, UnPar, Maranatha, etc. Yay!), (2) English, Mathematics, Band, & Dance competitions (100 participants for Eng & Math, 40 bands, and 30 dance groups from Tegal and nearby areas,
(3) Bazaar [12 booths were opened by our school' students. Every class must have their own booth and sell food/drinks/games that they make by themselves. It was a bigggg success and I feel so happy. I hope I can get some time to share the photos on this blog.

I also became a host for the band&dance competitions! So nervous, hahahha! It was a new & fun experience to me ;)

And lastly, I'm joining for a 'big' competition this weekend.. I really want to win, so wish me luck!! I can't thank God enough for giving me so many opportunities in my life. :''D

Green Day

This was my outfit on November 5th. It was a public holiday, so I and my parents decided to have lunch outside and bought some stuffs. I asked my parents to stop at the local post office to take some pics of my outfit that day. The post office was closed , so I could freely take pics without too many weird people staring at me... Hehehehe :P

This is one of my favorite outfits, because I felt happy to be able to create a look with a basic top and skirt (totally basic, no pattern, ok.) with other accessories that would compliment this look! I tell you, basic clothing is a MUST have stuff in your closet because it's very easy to mix it with almost everything!

I think I won't be able to update this blog until Sunday because my school (esp Osis, the organization where I'm in) is going to have a big event for 2 days. There'll be band/dance/math/english competitions, bazaar, and education fair. I hope the weather will be good, it won't rain, and everything will run smoothly as what we've planned! Wish us luck!
