I've been getting a lot of questions about prom outfit ideas lately.. From my readers, and even my juniors and close friends at school because our school's prom is just 3 weeks away..
In Tegal (the city where I live) doesn't have much clothing stores (no zara,topshop, etc), so we usually buy our clothes online. Here are some of my dress and accessories picks from Odioli . It's a one stop online shopping site that carries so maaany local brands in Indonesia.
I honestly have always been a fan of bold colors like electric blue, emerald, maroon, etc. It's not too bright , not too dark, but it makes us look more 'charismatic'. And I think those colors are perfect for prom dresses.
My school's prom will be held at the school's hall, so long princess-y dresses with lots of beads don't really match. These first two dresses that I pick are:
1. Misty Fox Serenada Dress via Odioli. Yeap. Electric Blue a.k.a Royal Blue. This color will definitely emphasize your skin's tone whether you're white or tanned. Just add a gorgeous necklace and wear a good pair of pumps (black or nude or red are my recommendations)!
2. Auntie Marie Coater via Odioli. I like this dress especially because of the sequins collar that gives a touch of 'glam' for this simple LBD.
Black and white are the most safe color options. My tips is, when you wear a b/w dress, wear necklace / earrings so that your look won't be too plain for this special occassion.

I totally fall in love with this dress. I'm not really a fan of tangerine or orange, since it's quite similar to my nearly tanned skin. But the dress' cutting and style is just to die for ! And Like I've said before, earrings / necklace is a perfect option to optimize this kind of plain dress!
This dress is perfect for a sweet or vintage themed prom. Pointed heels in bright color can steal the attendees' eyes!
