Self Love

Untitled

Untitled

This pair of PEG BELTED PANTS from Cloth Inc is currently my favorite one. It's high waisted, comfortable, and can be styled easily! Here I show you how I wore them in 2 different outfits.

Untitled

The first one is a casual look where I wore it with a white cropped top and a jacket.

The second one is a semi-formal look where I wore it with a statement top!

Which one is your favorite?

My previous blogpost was a bucket of the ultimate problem I'm dealing with myself. I never expect myself to be such an insecure person. Because 2 years ago, I clearly wasn't.
It's just that in 2016, things started to go out of my control and turned me into an insecure person, who saw herself as never being enough.
I've realized the problem, but I never truly came out from that zone.

Today, I read a quote from Rita Mae Brown; "I think the reward of conformity is that everyone likes you except yourself."
I immediately asked myself, "why do you hate yourself so much?".
If it were my insecure soul who answered, "I'm not skinny enough. I'm not pretty enough. I'm super selfish."
But then I took a deeper thought. "Why are looks so important to me? I don't need to have be insecure of how I look. It's totally irrelevant."

Yeap, #selflove is definitely important. Start from today, I promise to not to let my insecurities be the source of my unhappiness anymore. There are other problems that are more important than a stupid insecurity. There are so much things I have to be grateful for. I have amazing parents, amazing siblings, amazing friends who love me just the way I am and give so much care for me, and I couldn't have asked for more.

I'm also thankful for your supportive comments on my previous post. I loveeee you!

Cinderella Blue

IMG_7085

Blue is one of my favorite colors. When it comes to clothing, this shade of blue is currently my fav. It's not too bright nor bold. I chose to combine my new sky blue flap skirt from Cloth Inc with grey, white, and pale yellow to create a soft and feminine look.

Look at my shoes! They're very comfortable and many people complimented me about how cool the glass heels are. I often wear this pair daily as white shoes can be matched with any outfit easily.

Today is the last day of September & my nephew's birthday today. Actually I planned to go back to Tegal, but unfortunately my parents are coming here tomorrow to come to my cousin's engagement.
I've bought my ticket already and this noon I have to go to the station to do the refund process. Ergh I'm pretty sure it's going to take a longg.... time -_-.

Styling My Batik Tunic

Untitled

I love batik so much & like wear them on daily basis. Most of us relate batik as 'uniform' or 'formal' attires, but actually you can wear it for casual looks too like I did here.

Untitled

I paired the batik tunic with my vest, shorts, and sneakers. What do you think? It's a great way to wear batik, right? ;)

A Reminder

IMG_6552

Hi, everyone.
I'm currently not doing anything important beside munching my favorite apples & strawberries (I have a guilty pleasure of buying super huge strawberries which cost me quite a heck of money) in my bedroom, alone.

Well, I admit that it's been a while since the last time I had a real leisure time (or in Indonesian slang: gabut), because most of my leisure time I always go to the gym (which I've told u numerous times lol). I know it's not good to keep stressing over my weight, how much I eat, and how many calories I should burn in a day T.T... My mom had reminded me over and over again to eat properly & not going to the gym so often.

Finally yesterday, I just got warned by God not to over-do that habit.

I fell sick again and went to the hospital last night. I am quite shocked because I thought I am just fine even with the amount of fruits I consume regularly.

But thankfully, I'm still able to go to school. It's almost the last week of the semester, and also the most important one, hence I am totally forbidden to miss the classes!!

My final projects were quite crazy and I spent a month working on them. Assignments didn't stop coming and they pilled up like a mountain. The hardest ones were making a Textile Album (an album of 15 different fibers with their characteristics, strengths, and weaknesses) and a fashion Comparison Book (12 comparisons of 12 different eras with the interpretations in modern days). My apartment was full of fabrics and my laptop's desktop was full of pictures.

IMG_6544

For the textile album, I went to many fabric stores, asked my friends' help, my mom's help, and even went to a local market to look for the fabrics. After that, I had to cut the fabrics, burn them to test their characteristics, stick them on the album, and write the details.

IMG_6545

For the comparison book, the layouting part was the hardest. My friends are super creative in making a simple yet interesting layout design. I used to think that creative is in my blood, but now I feel that it doesn't count in terms of layouting.... Making the print was also very hard. The deadline for this book is tomorrow (for fashion phenomena lecturer) and I went to printing store to print the book 2 days ago. I checked the result this afternoon. Well overall the quality is nice but the printing guy put a blank page behind my cover which makes the facing pages after it dissapear (so it's not a left-right pic, but front-back). I hope my lecturer doesn't mind and just pay attention to my content T_T. GOD PLEASEEEEE GIVE ME YOUR MERCY AND SEND ME ANGELS FOR MY JUDGEMENT TOMORROW .
I printed another version of the book for my computer lab lecturer, but this one I used perfect binding and smaller size. I went to different printing store than the first one because I also feel that the color isn't really nice there and spent 1,5 hours only to test-print at this another store and make sure they'll print it right. I WILL PRAY HARD THAT THIS ONE WILL BE MUCH BETTER.

Pastel Yellow

IMG_1519

This was my outfit last week for a brunch with my parents at my favorite bistro, Luciole (Central Park). I wore a long top which ended up looking like a dress because I'm so short! T^T. Since it's basic, I decided to pair it with my new necklace from Happiness Boutique.

IMG_1527

These sandals from Stradivarius are veryyy comfy and it's one of my fav pair! The color also matched perfectly with the pastel yellow dress. Last, the bag is my mom's. It's Fendi Mini 2Jour in Pink Ecstasy :)

These days I've been staying at home exercising in the morning / afternoon. I gained weight this year, so I am so determined to lose my weight :( . I've lost 2kgs in 1 week by exercising everyday, drinking lemon water every morning, eating steamed chicken breast (not everyday), and not eating rice. It's still hard to do clean eating tho, since my tongue always craves for fatty food like nasi padang, chocolate toasts, noodles, or even bubble teas! T_T. I'm going back to Jakarta this Friday and I'm gonna have a 3 days diet juice plan (not detox, I'm still allowed to eat my meals as usual). I'll tell you about it if it works! hehe ;)
